TITLE: Field Service Technician
LOCATION: Los Angeles, CA area (driving to client locations within a 100 mile radius)

OVERVIEW
The Field Service Technician provides hands-on technical support for local field dispatches. This role is remote-based, with technicians working from home and servicing local clients. Field Service Technicians will perform structured cabling, fiber cable extensions, hardware racking and stacking, and network access control tasks.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform structured cabling installations and fiber cable extensions
- Rack and stack networking hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and WiFi access points
- Support audio/video equipment, laptops, low-voltage cabling, telecom devices, and physical security systems
- Use ticketing system software to receive and complete dispatch tickets
- Communicate and document work using Microsoft Office
- Provide customer-facing troubleshooting and support services
- Work independently within a designated area while collaborating with a larger remote team
REQUIRED SKILLS
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with structured cabling or networking hardware
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to interact with customers effectively
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office for documentation and communication
- Experience with fiber optic cabling and network access control is preferred
- Prior field service experience is preferred, working in fields such as telecommunications, data centers, or managed service providers
- Methodical troubleshooting approach with attention to detail
- Strong client-facing communication skills
- Technical School degrees and certifications are a plus
