In software development projects, it is critical for teams to have dedicated and experienced Project Management support, with this often being the deciding factor between successful development and failure. This support keeps the development team focused on the correct tasks, acts as an intermediary between developers and upper management, and helps address and resolve any conflicts or issues that arise. Our client, who was in the middle of developing a new desktop and browser software, was suffering from the effects of ineffective and inefficient project management support. Their team struggled with communication breakdowns, costly delays, security breaches, serious software defects and unmet development requirements. Team culture was deteriorating rapidly, causing internal strife and conflict that was spiraling out of control. Our client turned to BridgeView to provide overarching Project Management support, establish a true Agile development methodology, guide the continuation of development, and get the development timeline of this software back on track. • 10 Sprints completed with our assistance
• 9 Agile ceremonies developed by our Project Manager
• 40+ UI and Backend Bugs resolved
• 20+ product demos enabled by this project
• 2 BridgeView contractors brought on as FTE by the client post-engagement5
• 3 development environments stood-up for compartmentalized development
BridgeView leveraged its PMO and Technical Talent Services capabilities to quickly stand-up additional development team members for the project, led by a BridgeView Project Manager, and reinstate a refined and solidified Agile process in order to continue the resolution of bugs and the development of new features. The activities that made up our solution were:
• Enhanced Development Team:
BridgeView used its Hybrid Consulting Model to quickly bring specialized technical talent to the project to address expertise gaps on the existing team. This included a BridgeView Project Manager to oversee development and champion change, as well as UI/UX developers, Quality Assurance personnel, and AI/ML scientists.
• Review and Reprioritization of Project Backlog:
Our Project Manager and development team met with client leadership to go over the existing project backlog, timeline, and roadmap. We worked with our client to reprioritize development activities to address the most valuable items first, in order to get the team some quick wins and accelerate the MVP horizon. This allowed us to create new project timelines and roadmaps that were realistic and entirely aligned with the needs of their leadership team.

• Project Management Support:
A BridgeView Project Manager was brought onto this project to oversee development and champion positive change. This resource was responsible for ownership of all project timelines, development requirements, documentation, Agile methodology and ceremonies, as well as client relationship management.
• Refined Agile Methodology:
When our BridgeView Project Manager joined this project, there was no development methodology in place, the root cause of many of the issues that our client was facing. Our PM introduced a tailored Agile methodology for development, with the introduction of 9 Agile ceremonies for the team to perform. These ceremonies included Daily Standup Meetings, Weekly Client Connects, Sprint Planning/Review/Retrospective meetings, as well as robust release activities. A clear Sprint structure was implemented, with dedicated time for development, QA, and release activities. This methodology was owned and managed by our PM, ensuring that the previous issues would not return to the development team.
• Revamped SDLC Practices: Documentation, New environments
Our Project Manager implemented new software development practices that were aimed at complementing a speedy Agile cycle with secure and industry-standard workflows. This included clear documentation practices, with our PM ensuring that all necessary information was compiled and catalogued in a universal repository that allowed for easy access, quick onboarding of any new team members, and transparency for our client leadership. Dedicated Development, QA, and Production environments were established and secured, allowing for iterative development while maintaining security of the product.
